Who is Constance Marten's family?

THE search for missing aristocrat Constance Marten, along with her boyfriend and baby, took a shocking turn after Marten and her lover were found in Brighton, without the child.

Constance is from a family of rich landowners. This is what we know about them.

Napier Marten (Father)

Constance’s father Napier Marten was born on March 28, 1959, as the only son of George and Mary Marten.

He has five sisters and was educated at Eton.

Napier served as the late Queen’s page and was the heir to  Crichel Estate in Dorset, and the family's £115million fortune.

He gave up his fortune for a life in Australia.

He married Virginie Camu in 1986 with Constance born a year later.

He left his family when Constance was just nine.

Napier and Virginie are now divorced.

Virginie de Selliers (Mother)

Virginie Charlotte Camu was born on September 14, 1959, and married Napier in 1986.

Virginie works as a psychotherapist specialising in trauma, family therapy and grief, with private practices in Shaftesbury and Notting Hill.

She sent an open letter in February 2023 in which she encouraged her daughter to return.

In the letter, she said: "You are not alone in this situation. We will support you in whatever way we can.

"I know you well enough; you are focused, intelligent, passionate and complex with so much to offer the world.

"So many of your friends have come forward to say such positive things about you, assuring us of their warmest love and support for you and your family.

"You have made choices in your personal adult life which have proven to be challenging, however I respect them, I know that you want to keep your precious new-born child at all costs."

Virginie reportedly married Guy de Selliers De Moranville in 1998.

Maximilian Marten (Brother)

Maximilian is one of Constance's younger brothers.

He married jewellery designer Ruth Aymer in August 2021 at York House in Richmond.

Max works in sustainable real estate

He has a brother, Freddie, who attended his wedding.

Tobias Marten (Brother)

Tobias is the youngest of Napier and Virginie's children.

His last known occupation was running a tree care firm with his father.

Mary Anna Marten & George Marten (Grandparents)

Mary Anna Marten, was the goddaughter of the late Queen Mother and a trustee of the British Museum.

She was born on September 12, 1929, and joined the Buckingham Palace Brownies unit, alongside Princess Margaret.

Upon the death of her father, Baron Alington in active service in the RAF in 1940, Mary Anna inherited the Crichel House Estate in Dorset.

Mary made legal history in the Crichel Down affair, which saw her regain her family home after it was compulsorily purchased by the Government in 1938 for bomb training.

She died in January 2010 at the age of 80.

George Gosselin Marten was a lieutenant commander in the Royal Navy with further close links to the royals.

He was born on December 28, 1918, and died on August 16, 1998.

George was an equerry to George VI.

He married Mary in November 1949, and the wedding was attended by George VI, the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret.

George and Mary had five daughters: Victoria (1950), Charlotte (1952), Georgina (1953), Amabelle (1954) and Sophia (1962).

Napier was their fourth child and only son born in 1959.

Their second daughter, Charlotte, married Oswald Alexander Mosley in 1975.

He was the son of politician Oswald Mosley and Diana Mitford, and brother of former F1 president Max Mosley.
