HE WAS the bespectacled cartoon aardvark who helped kids deal with a range of childhood traumas, including homework, teachers and bullies.
But there was a massive mistake in the hit 90s kids' cartoon programme, Arthur. Did you spot it?
The embarrassing blunder was pointed out by an eagle-eyed viewer on Twitter last month.
The lovable character, famed for wearing a mustard-coloured knit and squabbling with his sister DW, wore his headphones as a human being would - even though his ears are positioned on the top of his head.
The glaring error was pointed out on social media by a user called Doc McDabbins along with the caption: “Explain this”.
Fellow Twitter commentators were quick to jump on the glitch.
Desiree Fawn commented: “I’m so glad I’m not the only person this has bothered for 20 years…”
While a woman called Emma commented: “Look at the pics though his ear are on his head and his headphone??? He doesn’t have ears on the side of his head. I’m crying.”

Meanwhile a user called Little Albatross shared an image of Arthur’s whole family wearing the gadget in this manner.
It took some users a while to work out what the mistake was.
Ben Basche wrote: “This is the 5th time I’ve seen this and I finally get it.”
Despite the furore, a user called Kate Van Brunt was quick to point out the cartoon wasn’t the most realistic of shows.
She wrote: “This is also the same show where Arthur had a dog as a neighbour but also a pet so…”
Forget Arthur’s dodgy headphones, we’re struggling to get the programme’s insanely catchy theme tunes out of our heads.
“And I say hey! What a wonderful kind of day..."
