This guy sounds like a real jerk.
After news broke that Stana Katic was leaving ABC’s Castle after eight seasons, sources started to come out of the woodwork with what they believe was the real reason for her departure.
One insider told Us Weekly that Katic’s co-star, Nathan Fillion would antagonize her to the point of tears.
Though Deadline Hollywood cited "budgetary reasons" for Katic’s departure, those on the inside claim otherwise.
"Stana would cry on set because Nathan was such a bully to her," the source said.
Another source confirmed it, going into further detail.
"Stana would go in her dressing room and cry. A lot of people who work on the show don’t like Nathan. It’s not just her," the source explained. "The friction was very evident.
"Nathan has been nasty to Stana for a long time. Stana was a pro, just wanted to get in there and do her job."
Fillion has not addressed the rumors. Instead, he paid tribute to the Canadian native.
"Stana has been my partner all this time, and I thank her for creating the character Beckett who will live on for all of us as one of the greatest police officers on television," he tweeted on April 19th.
"I wish her well, and have no doubt she will succeed in everything she pursues. She will be missed."
Katic released a statement to Deadline after news broken that she wasn’t asked back for season 9.
“Rather then distract from what was an amazing experience, I would just like to say that I’m very grateful to ABC for giving me the opportunity to be a part of a much beloved show.
"Thank you to the fans.”
